Over the weekend, Safe Harbor celebrated three more graduates who completed our program. We are so proud of these men who have taken their lives back! We praise God for privilege to serve these men and help them walk through the process of restoration! God is good!

Recently at Safe Harbor we have been working on improving our facility to better serve the 65+ men in our care. We are striving to do a Great Work at Safe Harbor of Memphis – both in house and in the community. We want you to join us in our quest to heal this WORLD one person at a time and a great way to make our participants feel important and valued is to have clean, up-to-date, and fresh facilities. These pictures represent some of the makeovers we have been working on to give our property a much needed face lift. I am asking you to be a part of our movement by donating money, time, or materials. Your contributions will help us to better care for the men we are helping rebuild their lives. You can sponsor building materials which can range from paint, tools, tile, landscaping, and more or sponsor hygiene products such as soaps, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, toilet paper, etc. EVERY donation is helpful!

The Heart of the Jungle Revival was a GREAT success. We had five wonderful Men of God that delivered a powerful word each night. More excitedly we had a total of 19 Men who either Dedicated or Rededicated their lives to God. I am excited about planning the next one. We have had an opportunity to see God do wonderful things things in the lives of staff and residents alike. I am anxious to see what follows, I know we can expect GREAT things from God going forward. Please join us in celebrating the men that have made the awesome decision to follow God and thanking the men who who help facilitate this great effort. Thanks to Pastor Kevin Twisdale, Pastor Brad Bowie, Nick The Greek, Pastor Kevin Love and Pastor Ron Smith. Also a special thanks to Pastor Tony Woodard, Chaplin Joe Pipkin, Gary Wilson and the rest of Safe Harbor of Memphis Staff and Residents for making this Revival a success beyond anything we could have imagined!

Let’s be encouraged – Safe Harbor has been focused on encouraging our participants that they can achieve their goals of a united family, health, sobriety, living drug-free, job security, independent living and more. We believe that in order for a circumstantial change to take place a mental, physical, and spiritual change must be made first. Recently we have posted inspirational quotes and posters throughout the mission to remind the men  they are important and they CAN live the life they want.
We all must set goals, work hard, and stay focused.

Last night’s Chapel Service was simply amazing!!! God reminded me why WE do what we do. Three men dedicated the lives to Christ. We heard an amazing word by Pastor Ron Travis –  Be Patient and Let GOD be GOD. Whatever the Blessing that you may be waiting on, be patient and WAIT and always remember what “Wait” means!!! Wait means to SERVE!!! Just like a waiter or waitress… SERVE!!! These 3 guys giving their lives to Christ is nothing short of a miracle so join me in celebrating these lives and the many more to come. Thank you Pastor Ron for sharing and serving with us!
