It is time to celebrate! We are finished with our Kitchen Transformation Project(click here to see our changes over time). Thanks to grant funding made possible by the
Walmart Foundation Logo
We are READY!!! We officially opened our new kitchen as of July 5, 2016 with our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. We could not thank Walmart enough for making this project possible. After a few words from our President Brad Bowie, we prayed blessings over our new kitchen, and cut the ribbon and had a great time of fellowship:

Recently at Safe Harbor we have been working on improving our facility to better serve the 65+ men in our care. We are striving to do a Great Work at Safe Harbor of Memphis – both in house and in the community. We want you to join us in our quest to heal this WORLD one person at a time and a great way to make our participants feel important and valued is to have clean, up-to-date, and fresh facilities. These pictures represent some of the makeovers we have been working on to give our property a much needed face lift. I am asking you to be a part of our movement by donating money, time, or materials. Your contributions will help us to better care for the men we are helping rebuild their lives. You can sponsor building materials which can range from paint, tools, tile, landscaping, and more or sponsor hygiene products such as soaps, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, toilet paper, etc. EVERY donation is helpful!

The Heart Beat of Safe Harbor…

While our goal is to gather those in distress help provide what some perceive to be the necessities in life – i.e. a job and a stable living environment,  I believe the need is deeper. 99% of the men that come to us have once held a job or had a decent living environment at some point, however my goal is to show our men how to earn and keep those things, living a great life with God. It is my single belief that God has already made a way for us his people. Matthew 6:33 says, “Seek Ye first the kingdom of God and all it’s righteousness and all these other thing shall be added to you.” If we teach our program participants to honestly seek God’s Kingdom by becoming and making Disciples of Christ, we have taught them not only to obtain the things they believe they need, but also how to maintain and prosper such things.
